Presidio Surgery Center of San Francisco remains one of the premiere outpatient facilities in the United States. To aid it their patients preparatory and post op recovery the Center wanted to produce a series of instructional videos which patients could access whenever and wherever they had questions.
Mr. Smith realized that patients often went searching for answers from a place of trepidation for their upcoming surgery. For most patients the prospect of undergoing surgery is as daunting as it is unfamiliar. Mr. Smith sought to convey information in a comforting and linear fashion while utilizing warm tones and camera angles gleaned from medical dramas as seen on television.
The client showed increases in patient readiness and confidence as patients became more informed and prepared for their surgery days.
